Download Interface

What makes nDAC unique is its ability to download charts as they are needed. nDAC keeps an index of which airports and enroute charts that are available on the server and the user can at any time download charts to the local computer.

The download interface supports queueing so that the user can select multiple airports or enroute charts to download. If the queue should fail there is also a retry function and extensive logging options. Not until the airport or enroute chart is fully installed on the local computer are credits deducted.

Search Functions

The downloaded airport charts are hierarchically ordered according to country which makes them easy to browse. Once an airport is selected the user may apply a filter to sort further among the available charts.

The user has also the option of browsing the downloaded airports and the airports on the server simultaneously. The airports available on the server are displayed in grey italic font in the same treeview. The user can easily compare status as color coding tells which airports that have been updated and are available in a newer revision.

In the download interface the user can search alternate airports according to proximity and runway length. Of course there are the traditional search functions as well querying IATA, ICAO and country code as well as the name of the airport, serving city and country.

Chart Organization

The airport charts are hierarchically ordered, but you may reach your charts even faster by bookmarking them. You can name and arrange the bookmarks as you like - very much like in your ordinary web browser. There are also additional similarities in the history functionality. nDAC keeps the lastest 10 charts in memory so that you quickly can flip between them by using the arrow icons.

You can also add your personal comments to each chart. This is convenient for keeping logs or recording personal notes for next landing or takeoff.

nDAC has also the possibility to construct routes. You may choose departure and destination airport along with an arbitrary number of alternate airports and save them as routes readily available when you need them. If you have the route already constructed in flight plan files (*.PLN) nDAC knows how to import these as well.

Enroute charts are also hierarchically ordered, but by region/continent instead of country.

Printing

All the charts in nDAC are vectorized with means that they are of indefinite resolution. In other words, you may print them in any size you like and they will always come out crystal clear.
