On this page you will find some known issues with the nDAC software. Please check this before contacting Navigraph Support if you have any technical problems as they may already have a solution.


KB0001: Making nDAC 2.0 run under Windows 2000

Although not officially supported, there is a workaround for users that wish to install nDAC 2.0 on Windows 2000 (only SP4 and later).

  1. Run the nDAC 2.0 Setup. In the end of the installation process, two error boxes will show. Close them and finish the installation.
  2. Open the Command Prompt by clicking Start -> Run.
  3. Type cmd in the box
  4. Type cd c:\ (or replace c:\ with the drive Windows is installed on).
  5. Type regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Navigraph\nDAC 2.0\dll\jpdfe\ipdfeditor.dll" (or replace "C:\Program Files\Navigraph\nDAC 2.0\" with the folder nDAC 2.0 is installed in).
  6. You should now be able to start nDAC 2.0 and run it as normal.


KB0002: Error when starting nDAC 2.0 after uninstalling nDAC Base Pro 1.0

If nDAC Base Pro 1.0 is uninstalled AFTER installing nDAC 2.0, an error might show when starting nDAC 2.0.

If this error shows, just click OK. You can remove the error permanently by following the steps below.

  1. Open the Command Prompt by clicking Start -> Run.
  2. Type cmd in the box
  3. Type cd c:\ (or replace c:\ with the drive Windows is installed on).
  4. Type regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Navigraph\nDAC 2.0\dll\jpdfe\ipdfeditor.dll" (or replace "C:\Program Files\Navigraph\nDAC 2.0\" with the folder nDAC 2.0 is installed in).
  5. You should now be able to start nDAC 2.0 and run it as normal.


KB0003: Error while installing airports - Division By Zero

Sometimes a Microsoft .NET Framework error shows when installing downloaded airports saying "Attempted to divide by zero".

To solve this issue, update your nDAC version to 2.0.2417.25757 or later.

  1. Check for the latest version by clicking Help -> Check for Updates... when running nDAC 2.0.
  2. If you are not running the latest version, a prompt will notify you of an update. Click "Yes" and download.
  3. Install the update when downloaded.
  4. Restart nDAC when prompted.


KB0004: Error when importing legacy database

Sometimes an error occurs when importing a legacy database from nDAC Base Pro 1.0. In the logfile, the detailed error is Cast from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid.

To solve this issue, update your nDAC version to 2.0.2417.25757 or later.

  1. Check for the latest version by clicking Help -> Check for Updates... when running nDAC 2.0.
  2. If you are not running the latest version, a prompt will notify you of an update. Click "Yes" and download.
  3. Install the update when downloaded.
  4. Restart nDAC when prompted.


KB0005: Error when opening ADI of imported airport

Sometimes a Microsoft .NET Framework error occurs when opening the ADI (Aerodrome Information) of an imported airport.

To solve this issue, update your nDAC version to 2.0.2430.27000 or later.

  1. Check for the latest version by clicking Help -> Check for Updates... when running nDAC 2.0.
  2. If you are not running the latest version, a prompt will notify you of an update. Click "Yes" and download.
  3. Install the update when downloaded.
  4. Restart nDAC when prompted.


KB0006: Error when importing nDAC 2.0 airport database

Sometimes a Microsoft .NET Framework error occurs when importing the airport database.

To solve this issue, update your nDAC version to 2.0.4000 or later.

  1. The 2.0.4000 update must be installed manually. Download the update by clicking here.
  2. Close any running instance of nDAC 2.0.
  3. Extract the file in your nDAC 2.0 installation directory, normally C:\Program Files\Navigraph\nDAC 2.0\.
  4. Overwrite the existing files when prompted.
  5. Start nDAC 2.0 and perform the import.
